Did Anyone Ever Tell Lindsay Clancy's Doctors She Called?

from True Crime Today | Daily True Crime News & Interviews · host Real Story Media

Both of the psychiatrists the prosecution has called in the Lindsay Clancy trial are also named defendants in the medical malpractice litigation over her care. Tony Brueski takes listener questions to Robin Dreeke, retired FBI Special Agent and former chief of the Bureau's Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program. That is an unusual position for a witness. Each is testifying that she saw no signs of psychosis, while separately defending a civil claim that she missed exactly that condition.Dr. Jennifer Tufts told the court directly that she does not believe she was negligent. Under cross-examination she was asked about her experience level. She had completed her psychiatric residency in July 2022 and joined a private practice the month before Clancy became her patient.Dr. Alia Goodheart, questioned about her own background, said she does not think she has treated a patient with postpartum psychosis. She described Clancy as future-oriented, invested in her children, and a caring mother. Both suits, one filed by Lindsay and one by Patrick, name providers involved in her treatment. Those providers deny negligence, dispute what Clancy reported to them, and have moved to dismiss. The question this segment keeps returning to is a real one. A jury weighing whether a condition existed is hearing that answer from people with a stake in the answer, and juries are not always told what that stake is.The charges are three counts of first-degree murder. Clancy pleaded not guilty. She is presumed innocent. Prosecutors argue her providers bear no blame for what happened.Robin Dreeke handles the mailbag on credibility, incentive and what a jury does with any of it. 988 is there if you need it.END LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
