Die schwarz-rote Bundesregierung ist seit genau einem Jahr im Amt – die selbst ernannte Arbeitskoalition folgte auf die gescheiterte Ampelregierung. Bereits die Kanzlerwahl von Friedrich Merz im Bundestag brauchte zwei Anläufe. Mittlerweile ist weniger als jeder Fünfte mit der Arbeit der Regierung zufrieden. Liegt das an der Rhetorik des Bundeskanzlers, am Arbeitsmodus der Koalition oder an Problemen, für die die Regierung schlicht nichts kann? Tina Hildebrandt, Co-Ressortleitung des Politikressorts der ZEIT, zieht Zwischenbilanz. Die Ukraine fliegt immer öfter erfolgreich Angriffe im russischen Hinterland. Die ukrainischen Streitkräfte nehmen dabei vor allem die russische Ölproduktion ins Visier – immer wieder treffen sie wichtige Reservoirs und Raffinerien, teilweise 1.500 Kilometer von der ukrainischen Grenze entfernt. Möglich wird das, weil die Ukraine bei der Drohnenproduktion mit Russland gleichgezogen hat. Der Krieg wird damit auch in Russland spürbarer.
