Summary
I always found it annoying when someone starts chatting with me when I open the Facebook app. In most cases, I simply wanted to check 1 thing and leave the app immediately. The problem was that people saw I was online, they saw that infamous green dot next to my name which meant I’m online and available. Although you can decide for who you want to be visible and available and for who you want to hide this status, I suggest to simply disable your Active Status entirely. This means that the green dot disappears. People won’t know you’re online. In the video, I explain where to disable your Active Status in the Facebook app. You want to keep in mind that once you disable this, you won’t see anyone being available either. Not a big of a sacrifice right? Another thing you want to keep in mind is that once you disable your Active Status in the Facebook app, you also want to do the same in the Messenger app! I’ll explain how to do that in one of next week’s videos.
