Discover how when you apply the principles of Living Full Out, you can maintain hope for your future

from Living Full Out Show · host Nancy Solari - Living Full Out

Episode 28The Living Full Out Show with Nancy Solari wants you to see the importance in having hope. Perhaps there was a time when you gave up and were only able to see the negative. Rather than allowing yourself to feel defeated, take the steps to gain an optimistic mindset by working hard to improve upon the unhappy aspects of your life. Listen in to our first caller, Soriya, a nursing student who is overwhelmed with her responsibilities and is unsure of how she can prevent herself from burning out before she begins her profession as a nurse. Nancy advises Soriya to learn how to tell the people in her life that she can assist them with their needs later, rather than right at that moment, in order to protect time for herself. Soriya can build in more moments of relaxation by taking ten minutes in the morning and mid-day to engage in an activity that she enjoys and dedicating a longer amount of time to rest during the evening, whether that be journaling or talking to a friend. Soriya can find freedom in scheduling out her days in order to balance both rest and the duties that come with nursing school. Our second caller, Tara, wants to put into action her ideas for entrepreneurship, such as starting a summer school program for children in her neighborhood, but feels apprehensive about beginning the process. Rather than attempting to do everything by herself, Nancy instructs Tara to consider what her gifts and talents are in order to decide which singular aspect of her program she wants to be in charge of. Tara can then look within her local area for free services that can provide guidance in finding team members that will fulfill the other facets necessary to operating the organization and allowing it to reach its full potential. Our inspirational guest is Abby Rike, whose husband, 5-year-old daughter, and 2-year-old son were killed in a car accident in October of 2009, and who later went on to be a contestant of The Biggest Loser. Abby was able to cope with the tragedy of losing her family through her faith in God and the belief that she was put on this Earth to do great things. Abby’s journey on The Biggest Loser assisted her in the process of healing, in that it reconnected her to a community and prevented her from feeling isolated or alone. Although the wound of Abby’s spouse and children dying will forever be present, Abby was able to continue on with life by accepting that it is impossible to change the past and instead focusing on maintaining a positive attitude towards life. Our last caller is Alex, who is having difficulty figuring out what to do about the fact that his girlfriend and friend are struggling to get along. Nancy tells Alex to take the initiative to hold them both accountable and point out when they are being rude to one another. Alex can have a conversation with his significant other and friend, expressing his concerns that their lack of respect towards each other will have consequences and Alex will lose one of them. Once Alex has relayed his worries, he can make changes in his life regarding the person who continues to ignore his wishes. Maybe there was a time when you felt that all hope was lost. Perhaps you have had difficulty believing that the future held any joy or good opportunities. By maintaining faith that life will get better and that you will eventually find the strength to escape these dark times, you can live full out.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/living-full-out-show--1474350/support.
