Today we are staring at a dramatic change in how real estate closings will be performed in South Carolina beginning in 2023 and beyond.  The introduction of In-person Electronic Notary (IPEN) will create tremendous structural changes. If the Congress passes nationwide Remote Online Notary (RON) then the distance closing will also change dramatically.  All of this is for the better. My law partner, Cynthia Blair, joins Dishin' Dirt today to discuss what IPEN and RON are and how the introduction of these services will forever change the face of real estate closings.
