Copenhagen quartet HalfCutLemon return with their second album This Ain’t Real (Aenaos Records, Sept 25, 2025), recorded at the legendary Sweet Silence Studio with producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica). Across nine tracks, the band stretch from jagged punk assaults to cinematic baroque pop, joined by guests Peter Peter and Persille Ingerslev. Preceded by the acclaimed singles “Ointment”—praised as “a hefty haymaker” (Turn Up The Volume)—and “The Sun Is Dying”, hailed as “a slow-burning elegy… urgent yet unnerving” (Hella Fuzz), the album tackles themes of turmoil, memory, and renewal in what is set to be HalfCutLemon’s boldest release to date.
