What began as a fascination with mixing tracks on CDs quickly evolved into a deep appreciation for the rich culture of underground music, inspiring a move to London, a city revered as a haven for vinyl collectors and a mecca for clubbing enthusiasts. Once in London, Max. fell head in love with vinyl, immersing himself in the city’s unparalleled record scene. At a time when finding unique and original pressings was a true hunt, London became his treasure trove. This passion naturally evolved into artistry, blending his love for digging with the craft of DJ'ing. By the early 2000s, Max. had joined forces with Julius & Jamma as part of the Bread & Butter collective, where he took on dual roles as a resident DJ and promoter. Together, they curated unforgettable events across the U.K.'s capital, hosting a roster of international stars and celebrated locals. Over the years, he has without doubt left his mark on iconic clubs and underground venues alike, becoming a staple of London’s vibrant electronic scene. Max.'s passion for pushing boundaries in electronic music led to the founding of Bread and Butter Recordings, a vinyl-only label celebrated for curating cutting-edge tracks from rising stars and established talent alike. The label became a platform for showcasing diverse sounds, with a particular spotlight on Romania’s most innovative producers. To amplify its presence, Bread and Butter Recordings extended its influence through engaging radio shows on Hoxton FM and Bloop, connecting with audiences and tastemakers across the electronic music spectrum.
