DJ MIX #675 - Doc Martin (Oceanside, CA, U.S.A.)
Dance TV is proud to present DJ MIX #675 with the legendary Bay Area DJ, producer and Sublevel label head honcho – Doc Martin. Exclusively recorded for Dance TV, this mix is a masterclass in timeless house - groovy, funky and effortlessly refined. Packed with unreleased gems from top-tier producers across the globe, it captures Doc Martin’s unmistakable touch and deep-rooted connection to the dancefloor. An absolute must listen for any house music lover! @sublevel-music A product of the 80’s San Francisco dance music boom, Doc Martin has been creating innovative, high-energy electronic music for over three decades. Once a mainstay on the Pacific Northwest scene, he has gone on to perform everywhere from Ibiza to Tokyo, London and beyond, building an enduring and influential body of work in the process. Doc Martin’s choice to pursue a career in music was an obvious one, given the musical family he grew up in. Most notably, his mother sang with Bay Area icons Jefferson Starship. Doc, however, was drawn to the emerging electronic subcultures taking shape across the country. Endless hours spent in San Francisco’s indie record stores armed him with a deep knowledge of everything from acid house to techno, shaping the genre-bending style that would come to define his career. Within a few years of his first performances, Doc was selling out shows across his hometown and setting his sights on a global stage. In the early 90’s, he relocated to Los Angeles, quickly embedding himself in the city’s thriving rave scene. Not long after, his rising profile took him to Europe, where he became a regular at some of the continent’s most iconic clubs and parties, including Fabric (residency), Circoloco, Rex Club, Panorama Bar and Sunwaves. Over the years, he has become a favorite with audiences from New York to London, performing at institutions such as Output, Coachella, The Roxy, Twilo, Cityfox, Space, Desert Hearts, Movement and Lightning in a Bottle. Alongside his club career, he has DJ’ed for Grace Jones and James Brown, and served as tour DJ for Deee-Lite. After decades of bringing people together through music, Doc Martin’s passion and drive remain as strong as ever. He continues to evolve, revealing new dimensions of his artistry while maintaining a global touring schedule and releasing some of the most compelling music of his career. A true elder statesman of electronic music, his legacy is firmly established - and still growing with every set he plays. Tracklist: 1. Roland Clark-We Live In Space(Accapella)-Unreleased 2. She remains a powerful representative of Black women in electronic music and a magnetic headliner who commands the room every time she steps up. Lady D’s DJ career began in the Midwest rave and club circuit, quickly making her a Midwest favorite in cities like Detroit, Milwaukee, and St. Louis. She later co-founded Superjane with Colette, Dayhota, and Heather — North America’s first all-woman DJ collective, created to prove that female DJs were never a novelty. A decade later, she made history again as the first and only Black woman ever to play Lollapalooza (2011). Her artistry draws inspiration from Lil Louis, D’Angelo, Depeche Mode, and Cocteau Twins, influences reflected in the emotional richness and musicality of her sets. Her influence on the industry runs deep. D’lectable continues to nurture artists and move the culture forward under her direction. Her production journey started with the Glenn Underground collaboration “Champagne Lady” and continued with releases across Vista/Large, Body Music, Sneakerz, Journeys By DJ, Hed Kandi, Toolroom, Open Bar, Black Jack, Carillo, D’lectable, and others. She compiled and produced the celebrated mix CD Naked Kaleidoscope, an early signal of the Naked Music sound. In 2024, Lady D signed her single “A Deep-Felt Love” to Defected Records on the Soulfuric Deep imprint. It debuted at #1 on the Traxsource Deep House Chart, marking another milestone in her extraordinary career. DJ MIX #654 - Luke Brancaccio (London, U. K.)
Dance TV is proud to present DJ MIX #654 with the London-based DJ and producer Luke Brancaccio, a long-standing figure in the global electronic scene. Known for his early chart success with Brancaccio & Aisher, critically acclaimed work with Suicide Sports Club, and over 40 releases on John Digweed’s Bedrock label. His current project, Tokyo Fan Club, blends nostalgic influences with original, emotionally-driven productions that continue to resonate with both DJs and audiences. The over two-hour podcast recorded for Dance TV is a smooth ride across genres, styles, and trends — a set that reflects his experience, taste, and steady evolution. Have a listen and enjoy his unique selection! @lukebrancacciodj Luke Brancaccio has quietly built a respected name in the global electronic music scene for a long time. From early success as one half of Brancaccio & Aisher, with the track “It’s Gonna Be…” — which reached #1 on both the US and UK dance charts and broke into the UK Top 40 — to leading the darker, more experimental Suicide Sports Club, his career has been marked by thoughtful evolution rather than loud statements Instead of riding the wave of commercial momentum, Luke chose to explore new territory. With Suicide Sports Club, he blended live instrumentation with electronic textures, creating a sound that stood apart from the mainstream. Their debut album earned critical acclaim, including Album of the Year in Arena Magazine and a top ten spot in DJ Mag, landing him on the magazine’s cover. The project also saw him share stages with acts like Radiohead and Beck, expanding his reach beyond clubs into a broader live context. Over the years, Luke has released on a range of respected imprints including Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Circus, and Defected — and has become one of the most prolific contributors to John Digweed’s Bedrock label. His productions often strike a balance between emotional depth and dancefloor impact, with tracks like the Billboard #1 “Lovely Day” standing out as fan favourites. More recently, his focus has shifted to Tokyo Fan Club — a collaborative project that’s resonated deeply with both audiences and DJs. The music draws on nostalgic influences while offering something current and personal. Some releases reinterpret tracks by Air and Rockers Revenge, but the heart of the project lies in its original material — subtle, sincere, and well-crafted. The remake of Air’s “All I Need” in particular struck a chord, gaining widespread support and offering a fresh perspective on a classic. Never one to chase the spotlight, Luke Brancaccio has earned his place through consistency, curiosity, and a genuine love for the craft. His work continues to speak for itself — quietly, but clearly. DJ MIX #629 - Dave Seaman (Leeds, U.K.)
Dance TV is extremely proud to present DJ MIX #629 with the legendary DJ, Producer and renowned label owner - Dave Seaman. In addition to commanding the stages of numerous festivals and clubs in over 80 countries, his talent also shines through in his production and remixing work, earning praise from esteemed figures in the music industry including U2, Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue, New Order, and David Bowie, among others. So, press play and indulge in this exceptionally crafted deep and smooth progressive mix of a master! @daveseaman @selador-recordings @suessmedia Few artists have shaped the birth and evolution of dance music like Dave Seaman. With a career spanning over three decades, he has left an indelible mark on both the club and pop scenes, crafting unforgettable musical moments that resonate long after their creation. As the inaugural editor of Mixmag, he played a pivotal role in amplifying the voices of a generation swept up in the electronic music revolution. From headlining festivals like Creamfields to collaborating with icons like Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, David Bowie, New Order, and U2, Seaman has been a constant presence on the global music stage, performing in over 80 countries. Seaman's journey began in 1990 at Shelley's in Stoke, where he shared the stage with emerging talents Sasha and Laurent Garnier during the heyday of acid house. Teaming up with producer and friend Steve Anderson, the duo recorded as Brothers In Rhythm, birthing the seminal rave anthem ‘Such A Good Feeling’ which became a UK Top 20 hit, while also issuing the landmark ‘Mixmag Live Volume’ 1 with Carl Cox in 1991 – a release that stands as one of the first ever commercially available mix compilations. Without a doubt, his relationship with Renaissance is one of the most renowned in dance music, with Seaman having contributed 10 mixes to the revered series. Global Underground view the Brit in a similarly lofty light, having secured his services to mix their Melbourne, Buenos Aires, Cape Town & Lithuanian volumes. When it comes to labels- Stress Records and Audio Therapy are two defunct imprints that definitely are no strangers to the biggest names in the electronic music worldwide. Today, Dave Seaman’s passion to exhibit boundary-breaking talent is as strong as ever. Via the independent record label Selador Recordings which he co-owns with long-time friend, Steve Parry, his inspired A&R has helped nurture some of the finest groove-merchants in dance music, releasing many different colors of house and techno. The label’s roster speaks for itself, with Hernan Cattaneo, Rodriguez Jr, Robert Owens, Timo Maas, Danny Howells & Hannes Bieger all contributing tracks and remixes recently. In this current world of limited shelf life, ever-diminishing attention spans, and fast-moving, here-today-gone-tomorrow disposable club culture, it is the mark of true talent and dedication that Dave Seaman is always on the frontline of electronic music.
