Endless hours spent in San Francisco’s indie record stores armed him with a deep knowledge of everything from acid house to techno, shaping the genre-bending style that would come to define his career. Within a few years of his first performances, Doc was selling out shows across his hometown and setting his sights on a global stage. In the early 90’s, he relocated to Los Angeles, quickly embedding himself in the city’s thriving rave scene. Not long after, his rising profile took him to Europe, where he became a regular at some of the continent’s most iconic clubs and parties, including Fabric (residency), Circoloco, Rex Club, Panorama Bar and Sunwaves. Over the years, he has become a favorite with audiences from New York to London, performing at institutions such as Output, Coachella, The Roxy, Twilo, Cityfox, Space, Desert Hearts, Movement and Lightning in a Bottle. Alongside his club career, he has DJ’ed for Grace Jones and James Brown, and served as tour DJ for Deee-Lite.
