Do This Before You Hit Perimenopause: Why It's Crucial To Start Blood Panels in Your Mid-20s!
from My Perimenopause Journey · host Excel with Mariana.
Navigating perimenopause can be exhausting, but having a doctor can make it easier. One effective way to engage your doctor is through blood tests. I wish I had comprehensive blood tests every five years starting in my mid-20s to understand what levels of estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, or DHEA are normal for me. Just like checking cholesterol, triglycerides, TSH, or hemoglobin, hormone levels are equally important. I believe this could have prevented me from experiencing a severe decline in both physical and mental health during perimenopause, which also led to significant career and financial setbacks. Even if you have to pay for these tests yourself, your perimenopausal self will thank you!Subscribe for bi-weekly updates on My Perimenopause Journey.
