Do This In Remembrance Of Me: The Seriousness Of Communion

Greetings everyone, and may mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. We will be in 1 Corinthians 11 today. Scripture has given the church 2 ordinations. The first is baptism, which we carry out a few times per year. The second one is the Lord’s Supper AKA communion. When we take communion, as scripture says, we do this to remember Him, to remember what He did and what He went through on our behalf. He was beaten horribly, whipped, stabbed, spat on, and suffocated on a cross all so that we could receive salvation. Communion is to be taken seriously, because the sacrifice was serious. So each time we take the Lord's supper, reflect on the things that you struggle with, the sins that you have committed, and reconcile that with the Lord. We don’t have to be perfect, but we are asked to be repentant and obedient. If you haven’t placed your trust in Jesus, today is the day of salvation.
