Lange gab sich US-Präsident Donald Trump wenig kompromissbereit. Er will, dass Grönland den USA gehört. Für Europa kam das nicht infrage, und so drohte der US-Präsident zuletzt mit Zöllen von bis zu 25 Prozent, um die Europäer unter Druck zu setzen. Am späten Mittwochabend gab es nun aber offenbar eine Einigung beim Weltwirtschaftsforum in Davos. Juliane Schäuble, US-Korrespondentin der ZEIT, fasst zusammen, was darüber bisher bekannt ist. Wegen der ausgefallenen Stromversorgung verlassen Tausende Menschen die ukrainische Hauptstadt Kyjiw. Mitten im Winter sind aktuell mehrere Regionen und weite Teile der Hauptstadt ohne Strom. Bei Temperaturen von bis zu minus 20 Grad Celsius fehlen vielen Menschen Strom, Wasser und Heizung. Der Bürgermeister Kyjiws, Vitali Klitschko, hat den Einwohnern geraten, die Stadt zu verlassen, zum Dienstag sind bereits 600.000 Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner seinem Rat gefolgt. Russland bombardiert mit Raketen, Drohnen und Bomben bereits länger die ukrainische Energieinfrastruktur. In den vergangenen Wochen haben sich die Angriffe jedoch intensiviert. Olivia Kortas, Ukrainekorrespondentin der ZEIT, berichtet vom Leben in der verdunkelten Hauptstadt und von der Flucht, auf die sich viele Menschen nun begeben. Und sonst so?
