Don't Keep Tabs On Me

DON'T KEEP TABS ON ME (reworking of instrumental original track , Lover tabs , by Silvio Vinci ) You came to claim your favourite shirt, The one you left last June. Now it’s hanging on the kitchen chair, And you’re dancing round the room. Don’t keep tabs on me, Just keep me company. Let the whole world count its money— Spend a little time with me. You start to list my little faults, I know a few of yours. But then you turn the record up, And slide across the floor. Don’t keep tabs on me, Just keep me company. Let the whole world count its money— Spend a little time with me. Your taxi’s waiting in the street, You tell him, “Give me five.” For once we’re not rehearsing How to say goodbye. Don’t keep tabs on me, Just keep me company. Let the whole world count its money— Spend a little time with me. Keep me company… Keep me company… Leave your shirt across the chair— Spend a little time with me.
