Kids in 80s and 90s movies were always left alone to take care of themselves, so of course it was a shock when Sue Ellen's mom hired a babysitter to watch the kids while she went on vacation without them. But it's OK because the babysitter died right away so the kids could have their unsupervised summer fun!
