from Science vs. Conspiracy over coffee · host Story Monkey Productions

Show Notes Doomsday Clock The largely symbolic Doomsday clock moved 10 sec closer to midnight. Now sitting at 90sec to the end of the world. The time change was announced Tuesday morning. The clock has remained at 100 sec to midnight since 2020. But recent events between Russia and the Ukraine among other world events have forced the clock forward 10 seconds. The Earth's core is surrounded by a fluid of molten iron and nickel that is 1500 miles thick an is located 3100 miles below the surface. Is this something we should be worried about? Is it going to bring on the end of the world? Not likely since the Earth's core seems to spin in cycles over a 60 year period. The core switches direction roughly every 35 years. According to scientists the length of the day will be extended by a fraction of a millisecond over 12 months. Source http://bit.ly/3XS977e
