Doug Kisgen - Rethink Happy; An Entrepreneur’s Journey Toward Authentic Joy

Denise Griffitts interviews author Doug Kisgen whose new book RethinkHappy highlights why the principles of virtue, sacrifice and prayer are truly the driving forces for those seeking a joyful and productive life.   Doug Kisgen is a serial entrepreneur, organizational consultant, and the published author of RethinkHappy. This book calls upon ancient wisdom, philosophy, religion, and modern psychology – and shows how one can make changes in his or her life that greatly alter their path. He is also a licensee for a unique program called Culture Index.  His company, Kisgen Group, works with entrepreneurs and executives to help them get what they want through the use of a short survey that validly measures seven work-related traits. His former company Daydream Senior Care, dba Home Instead Senior Care, was a two-time Inc. 5000 fastest-growing company when he sold it. Doug formed his first corporation right out of college in 1991. Since then, he has built several businesses while also remaining an accomplished musician, songwriter and actor.   Happily married and raising five children in San Antonio, Texas, Doug offers guidance on how men can be better husbands and fathers.  He says men should: “Forget yourself.  Put your wants and needs second to theirs.  Continue to develop your relationship with your family based on finding out more about their desires while keeping yours in check.” We appreciate you tuning in to this episode of Your Partner In Success Radio with Host Denise Griffitts.
