Doug Paggit will be our guest speaker this week to discuss his new book, Church in the Inventive Age. He is a widely respected leader in the Emergent Christian movement as the founder of Solomon's Porch, a "Holistic Missional Christian Community" in Minneapolis, MN, he has received a wide array of media coverage. As one of the founders of The Emergent Village, a growing, generative friendship among missional Christians seeking to love our world in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Rev. Paggit has also be a co-founder of JoPa Productions, where he and Tony Jones have produced several emergent conferences, Christianity21, Big Tent Christianity, as well as other workshops and seminars, including their popular program: Social Media Bootcamp for Pastors and Ministry Leaders, a one-day workshop that will cover Ministry uses of blogging, Facebook, Twitter which we also hope he will discuss with us on this program. Doug sometimes refers to himself as a "Social and Theological Entrepreneur" since he runs a several businesses, a non-profit organization as well as his prolific writing, speaking and radio hosting career, we think it is not an inappropriate title.
