Dr. Dawn Baker is the physician, writer, speaker, and lifestyle design coach behind Practice Balance. She helps physicians and other professionals step off the treadmill of achievement, rediscover their true selves, and cultivate a practice of balance that’s right for them. Dr. Baker holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona. She attended medical school and completed residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She then served on the faculty at the same institution for 10 years before transitioning to her current clinical practice of locum tenens/per diem anesthesiology. Dr. Baker is the author of Lean Out: A Professional Woman’s Guide to Finding Authentic Work-Life Balance and host of the Lean Out Podcast. She is also a certified yoga and meditation instructor passionate about off-grid living, homeschooling, fitness, and travel.
