His online course, “Introduction to Classical Music,” is the largest online music course in the world. He has published several books on music and cultural history - the most recent being “The Hidden Habits of Genius,” an Amazon bestseller. Yale has recognized Dr. Wright’s contribution to undergraduate teaching in the form of its two most prestigious prizes, the Sewall Prize and the DeVane Medal. Dr. Wright was also awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and an honorary doctorate from the University of Chicago. In 2010, he was elected a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Wright holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard. Listeners will hear how to handle pressure, reframe failure, and utilize curiosity.
