Dr. Lorna Rodriguez-Rodriguez is a gynecologic oncology surgeon and Vice Chair of Faculty Development in the Department of Surgery at City of Hope National Medical Center, where she also serves as part of the Enterprise Leadership Team. She is a Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Her research focuses on finding a cure for ovarian cancer and understanding the importance of racial and ethnic differences in clinical outcomes. She has served as a clinician, instructor, and researcher at several of America's leading medical institutions over the past 30 years. Most of all, she is a surgeon that wants to cure women's cancer by removing it when possible. She is a frequent speaker for conferences related to health and wellness, diversity in healthcare, and cancer research, and she has mentored many postdoctoral fellows over the years. She holds a Ph.D. in Bio-Chemistry and Molecular Biology and completed her Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School. She earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico Medical School.
