Driving Dreams: Youth Empowerment with Bazil Van Der Merwe - 15 July 2025

Welcome to another inspiring edition of our youth-focused feature on Lotus FM! Today, we spotlight a dynamic young changemaker from Cape Town — Bazil Van Der Merwe. As the founder of Reach for Rainbows and owner of Bazil’s Traffic School, Bazil is proving that a driver’s license is more than just a piece of plastic — it’s a powerful tool for economic freedom. Through his innovative initiative, Bazil is empowering young people by helping them gain access to employment opportunities in transport, logistics, and entrepreneurship. With youth unemployment still a major concern in South Africa, Bazil's approach offers practical hope — and real impact. Join us as we speak to Bazil about his journey, the vision behind Reach for Rainbows, and how he’s helping youth take the wheel of their future.
