Droplets of Joy in a Wasteland

from Recovery Crone Podcast · host Recovery Crone

This year has been especially challenging as my chronic illness, the stressful sociopolitical environment, and my aging organs are all Venn diagramming. This episode is a voice memo to a friend about what it feels like to experience joy while walking through what often feels like a truly desolate wasteland. I'll add that within my small recovery community, I personally know 16 people who are experiencing—or have experienced—serious health issues. I don't think that's a coincidence, and there's plenty to learn about the connection. For now, I simply want to thank my recovery community for always providing me a safe place to land, and for the meetings that create floating docks in the ocean of life. p.s. I found the Grace Coddington clip I reference (incorrectly) and added it to the end.
