Jaringan ini bercita-cita membantu kelompok rentan dan terpinggirkan secara sosial-ekonomi seperti buruh, pekerja informal, transgender, tunawisma, difabel, serta kelompok miskin kota yang saat covid-19 ditetapkan sebagai pandemi, kelompok-kelompok tersebut menjadi semakin rentan.  Di awal usianya, jaringan ini banyak merespons kelompok yang terdampak wabah melalui distribusi alat kesehatan, bibit tanaman pangan beserta pendidikan bercocok tanam, serta pembuatan dapur umum. Kini setahun sudah kiprah Jaringan Kerja Gotong Royong, masihkah orang-orang yang terlibat di dalamnya memiliki semangat yang sama dengan ketika awal bergabung?
