Over more than three decades, he has pushed the sonic boundaries of House, Dubtechno, and Drum & Bass; in the late 1980s, he was among the first to bring House and Acid House vinyl from London to Germany, introducing a club aesthetic that was new to the country. In the early 1990s, Vasquez became part of the Rhine–Neckar scene and began releasing his own productions under various aliases, including Undercover Music, on labels such as ZYX Music. His approach combines innovation, technical precision, and intuitive musicality: as a DJ, he is known for sets that drive the groove while conveying a clear concept—remaining a vinyl purist with a forward-looking mindset. In 2014, he founded U.G.K Rekords (Underground Global Kommunikation), a platform dedicated to experimental Drum & Bass and Techstep (since 2018, the project has been run by Stephan Zander and his team). In spring 2020, Vasquez launched the digital label Augmented Reality Recordings, rooted in Deep/Dubtechno aesthetics, with an international roster and consistently high production standards—reinforcing his role as a cultural mediator committed to authenticity, experimentation, and artistic coherence.
