With a love for all things groovy and deep, his music and mixes cover the range from club focused house tracks to spaced out techno, but always have a dubby element present. Perhaps even more important to him than a specific style, however, is the sound quality of the music - the skill and care in the production, mixing, and mastering process that results in an exceptional listening experience in the club or in headphones. As a result, his heroes are those rare veterans who have delved extremely far into the esoteric world of music production; wizards like Terry Lee Brown Jr, Robert Babicz, Klartraum & Pablo Bolivar who consistently offer the depth, spaciousness, and impact only the best producers can achieve. (@bardia_salour) A warning from the Hamburg city services: on September 4th, the usual position of things may be temporarily disturbed. The reason — VERTIGO. Bardia Salour’s three original works are constructed like architecture in which someone has quietly altered the angle of the floor. :::VERTIGO opens the space with a simple sensation: everything seems to be standing still, yet somehow the body is convinced otherwise. The horizon does not fall — it simply begins, slowly, to lose its authority. :::SHIFTING PATTERNS turns its attention to the structure itself. Patterns shift, repetitions lose their former coordinates, familiar elements appear slightly earlier or slightly later than they should. The music does not break the system — it makes the system question its own memory. :::ZWISCHENRAUM is the German word for the space in between. Here, it becomes an almost physical location: neither point A nor point B, but that strange distance where usually nothing happens. Bardia Salour places the sound precisely there. His talent has been recognized on a global stage, with his track featured at the London Music Conference in 2020 playing a set at fabric@london. Together, they work across several musical projects, exploring different territories of electronic music — from dub techno and deep techno to hypnotic techno, acid and ambient. Their collaborative project Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer has become one of the duo’s main creative directions, combining the classic aesthetics of dub techno with a distinctly Siberian atmosphere, spacious sound design and their own vision of the genre. ENERCUBE and X_FR are also the founders of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], an independent label from Novosibirsk that has brought together more than 200 artists from around the world. Over the years, an international community of musicians has formed around the label, while its catalogue has grown into an extensive map of contemporary dub techno — from established names of the scene to emerging artists. One of the label’s central projects is the weekly DUBBISM podcast, created as a space for exclusive mixes by artists from across the globe. It consists of sixteen layers of sound, is moving eastward, and obeys none of the familiar laws of the atmosphere. Inside it, bass takes the place of pressure, echoes perform the work of the wind, and time falls as a slow, dark rain. The first front is Neatrastu Lobiu Iliuzija — the illusion of treasures no one has ever found, yet everyone has searched for at least once. Heavy Clouds Formation then assembles the sky into a monumental architecture, while Melancholic Trip leads deep inside the structure without a map or a return ticket. Siberian Winter carries frost from the far side of the continent; Acid Dub burns a green fissure through the ice. Earth for True Soul returns solid ground to the listener, Deep Movement sets it in motion, and Moss covers the traces of those who passed through before. Pressure thickens the air.
