For our eighth episode of Season 4, we talk with Michelle Mondia, death midwife and Minda Sanchez, death doula. Michelle Mondia started her work as a death midwife 15 years ago. She specializes in home funerals, green burials, and culturally specific end-of-life practices. As an advocate for more equitable end-of-life practices, Michelle founded the Death Workers Alliance, a space dedicated to supporting BIPOC death doulas and serving marginalized communities. Minda Sanchez is an end of life planner, death doula, altar builder and community weaver based in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a founding member of The Doula Guild and Your Village Doulas.
