E. 168 Religion in Prison

Rabbi Joe Kolakowski is Hasidic and the head Prison Chaplin. He deals with prisoners, staff and clergy of many doctrines including Christian denominations, Norse Priests, and a First Nations Chief. We hear his origin story and how he used pop culture as a bridge to form relationships and trust where you might assume was impossible. We discuss religion and culture in prison. We all also explore some of the logistics involved in ceremony. Then we turn to comparative religion, monster movies, TV shows and favorites.
