Stephen King is the most prolific horror author of the last several generations. Embedded within his works, is the connective tissue of The Wheel of Ka, or the King-a-verse. The dfining works that exemplifies this most is the Dark Tower series. There are at least 7 novels and it's inspired numerous other multiverses. In orderr to discuss this series, I call upon Matt Vincent. You might remember him from our Caprica episode.

Jon F. White of Crecganford returns to the show. The primary topic was what is a typical Indo-European pantheon of gods. Whilst we did cover that, we also learned and explored many related items as we navigated this Bronze Age world. Turns out, Greek mythology is not exactly typical for Indo European pantheons, although there is overlap. Ancient pre-Greece was very near East influenced. We - mostly me - keep jumping back and forth into the Bible. And yes, there's a lot of parallels and root stories there too. And for months, I've been asking Jon about my theories on the Odyssey and the Bible. No spoilers - of the discussion. We totally discuss aspects of this 3000 year old plus story. But neither of us saw the movie at date of recording so no Nolan alteration spoilers of significance.

She has a mixed ancestry of different faiths and she found her way towards her own journey. Kardela Mohamed joins us to discuss the titular topic of divination. But we didn't limit ourselves to that. Elgin and Larissa cohost the "Into the Desert" podcast on YouTube which seeks to inspire honest discussion without derision and name calling. Obviously, with your flawed host here, the only way to accomplish that was to have them take over the show. I mean almost. Kind of. Sorta. But I mostly followed their lead and we discussed political issues, questions of theology, and all sorts of things without anyone insuitling anyone. But I may have caught one of them doing a shot. I'm not saying which one and I'm probably lying. But I'm being truthful when I tell you, they are lovely people and we had intelligent discourse. Thus, I think visitations to the desert might be helpful to all.

Dr. Kim Nugent is the author of 10 books and started her career in hospitality, and worked her way into academia and became a College President. She developed a program that both increases the safety in maximum security prisons whilst reducing post release recidivism. We discuss this as well as other issues surrounding the prison systems.

We welcome in Damien Marie Athope, a one time student pursuing a career in Christian Counseling turned independent researcher. Damien's research led to a thirst for knowledge in the religions of many peoples and regions. Those studies included archeology and linguistics. As a result, Athope was able to present a survey of African religions and noticed they had some notable similarities to other old world religions. Primarily in the form of a sky creator that may or may not be gendered and is benevolent but removed from us humans. Perhaps this is the root religion. Perhaps it started somewhere else and returned to Africa. Decide for yourself.  

Bernie Taylor is back. Our guide around the Meditterean took me up on talking about Crete, We still haven't deciphered it's writings, but it's influence outsizes the island's size. Prof. Chris Forth of the University of Kansas joins us to discuss all things Hyperborea. We're covering the bunk to de-bunk. Which is related to the 10 levels and the tree of Life and the idealic man. Ezekial actually chronicles the process and progression of all prophecies. He was the only one to put these experiences to words. So, we go through his description and what they represent. It's quite an education.

Dr. Stuart Tyson Smith of UCSB joins us to discuss the archeology, science and related aspects of Kush and neighboring regions that existed alongside ancient Egypt and whose histories are intertwined. This is a good companion show to the recent episode with Mogg Morgan.We confirmed where and what is Kush, Nubia, Punt, and some new names. Such as Yam. We settle the grography. We challenge the stereotypes of skin color homogeneity and words like "Kemet" and titles such as "Black Pharoahs". We touch on some things like Sheba and Solomon and Exodus. But our main focus is Kush and the Kushites. There's even talk of a dancing pygmy as part of a historical record. I also spend a minute or two burying Jimmy T.
