Nestled in the hills of Bardstown, Kentucky, the Willett Distillery is picturesque and many of the whiskies are highly sought after — especially those purple tops. Historically, Willett’s reputation has been built upon the fact that they have some amazing aged stock that they acquired from various distilleries. However, Willett has been producing their own bourbon and rye since 2012. This week, we take a look at the Willett Family Estate Bottled Four Year Rye. Even though these “green” top bottles are slightly less sought after, they are definitely more available. For this week, we discuss RTDs, bourbon drinking in the summer, The Bar at Willett, and bourbon jealously.
