E069 - OKI Reserve Blended Bourbon Whiskey
from The Mash Up · host Bourbon Whiskey Talk
Remember when O.K.I. went from being a shelfer to one of the most revered MGP sourced whiskies in the bourbon industry? New Riff Distilling was the original proprietor of the O.K.I brand, but they phased it out when their own distillate came of age. In 2020, Ohio based entrepreneurs Jake Warm and Chad Brizendine acquired the brand, started releasing single barrel MGP sourced bourbon, and the excitement surrounding O.K.I. quickly returned. For this week, we sip and review their very first mainstream release known as O.K.I. Reserve Blended Bourbon Whiskey. We’ve dubbed this MGP sourced whiskey as the “kitchen sink” since the blend contains 5 of its most popular mashbills from the factory in Indiana. Tune in this week to hear a lively discussion about our recent travel experiences and to see what we think about this whiskey and the reintroduction of a beloved brand. -------------------------- Socials IG: https://www.instagram.com/themashupky FB: https://www.facebook.com/themashupky TW: https://twitter.com/themashupky Music: All the Fixings by Zachariah Hickman Thank you so much for listening!
