E275 - Blood Oath Pact No. 11

It's kind of crazy to think that the Blood Oath series has been around since 2015 -- yet we've never talked about it on the podcast. A "limited" annual release from Lux Row Distillers, Blood Oath is a unique offering that changes each year and showcases the ability of master distiller and industry veteran, John Rempe. Each year, Rempe selects the base stocks of whiskey for this project and then they are married and often times finished to create something that "shall never again be made." Pact No. 11 is a blend of 7-10-14 year old bourbons (different recipes) that are finishing in tequila barrels. We've all tried tequila that has been finished in bourbon barrels, but this type of offering is new to us. Our take on this one may surprise you.
