E299 - Roaming Man Cask Strength & 10 Year Rye Whiskey
from The Mash Up · host Bourbon Whiskey Talk
Sugarlands Distilling Company is nestled in the foothills of Gatlinburg, TN. Even though they are a company that originally focused on moonshine, they have been getting noticed for their unique rye whiskey. Roaming Man is a cask-strength pot distilled rye whiskey, made from locally sourced grains and crafted in the largest copper pot still in the United States. Even though the first release of roaming man was in 2017, we had never heard of this company until our good friend Hector sent us some bottles. In this episode, we taste and review the cask strength version of this whiskey and the limited release 10 year version. With a mashbill of 51% rye, 45% white corn, and 4% malted barely, we can honestly say that this whiskey is unique. But would we pass, try, or buy? You'll have to listen to find out. --------------------------SocialsIG: https://www.instagram.com/themashupkyFB: https://www.facebook.com/themashupkyYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@themashupkyJoin our community on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheMashUpBourbonPodcastPartnership(s)Visit Bourbonoutfitter.com and enter code THEMASHUP for a special discount or visit bourbonoutfitter.com/THEMASHUPMusic: All the Fixings by Zachariah HickmanThank you so much for listening!
