E415 - Developing Greatness - What It Takes To Build an Athlete - A Fit Life Series

from This Life Ain't For Everybody · host Chad Belding

In this episode of A Fit Life, brought to you by Sierra Strength and Speed, we bring Nate Hallett back to tackle more questions about coaching, athletics, and working with the developing athlete. In this round-robin format, we each have questions ready but we try to answer the questions from 3 different perspectives; the coach, the athlete, and the associate staff or parent. We hope this format covers the questions from all sides and gives the listener something to think about. We tackle the question of role model/mentor and how today's kids have so many resources at hand to see everything an athlete of choice is doing to work their craft, but how it seems that a lot of them aren’t using their screen time for this purpose. How do coaches handle different kids, and how do you create a role model on a team, or how do you keep the loud kid who may not be the best role model from trying to always take the spotlight? We hope you enjoy this talk as much as we did!
