Episode Summary: In this episode we cover that oh-so-lovely strip of the PCT known as the Hat Rim Trail. A hiker café awaited us before starting, but then the brutal heat was a poor hiking companion for Basecamp. Oh, we met Jupiter and didn’t even know it at first! A magical trail angel, Chris Hyde, treated us like royalty from Gondor, Deuces wore tailor-made custom-fitted cutoff jean shorts, we skipped Burney Falls to eat ice cream and order Jolly Gear matching shirts, two bucks ate our pee, Basecamp’s friends hosted us, and we took a poorly planned zero in Dunsmuir, which we would probably avoid over heading into Shasta!
