E6: Kale Poland | Everything Is Possible, The Impossible Just Takes Longer
from Eat Half, Walk Double · host Chris J. Dunn
Super excited to sit down with my good friend and colleague Kale Poland. We share a lot of things in common including our love for a specific breed of dogs, our chosen profession, and our contribution to the trail and mountain running scene here in New England. But one thing we don’t share is an endurance racing resume. Kale’s exploits as an ultra ultra endurance athlete have been very well documented by publications like Outside Magazine and by radio shows like NHPR and multiple other podcasters. From Deca Iron events (that’s the distance of 10 Ironmans at once) to 500 foot races to ultra distance cycling challenges he has been to places and done things athletically that very few can even imagine. Yet I find him to be so much more than just Kale Poland…endurance junkie. My hope is that sentiment comes through in this thoroughly enjoyable conversation.
