In this week's [Reprise] episode, we cover our 2-part series, "Water Is Life" with 2 representatives from Sawyer and CNOC, those widely popular names in the backpacking/thru-hiking community that have, since the original recordings in 2024, created a collaboration line of products (see that in the cover photo). Katie Houston, of Sawyer...and someone who loves Dungeons & Dragons more than we knew, covers all the ins and outs of Sawyer filter use/care, healthy-alternative bug sprays, and tells us a bit about why we, as hikers, sometimes suck at treating our water filters & bladders well. Rebecca Booroojian, of CNOC, then speaks a bit to our favorite, durable water bladders, what they are made of, and how they are transitioning away from PFAS (those nasty forever chemicals).
