Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C

Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Every thing finds its meaning and worth in God, without whom it would lose its meaning and worth, hence becomes vain or vanity. Until we relate with and see the things of this world through the eyes of faith, which brings God, our neighbour and eternity into the picture, we risk building our lives on vanity, thus meriting the name, ‘fool’ as we heard from today’s Gospel.
