The Third Sunday of Advent is called the Gaudete Sunday. The Latin word Gaudete means rejoice. On this third Sunday of advent the Church invites the faithful to rejoice as we are nearer to the celebration of Christmas festivities. Find out more about this Sunday as you listen. Happy Sunday.

This is a reflection for the solemnity of Christ the King which usually falls on the 34th Sunday in Ordinary time. It marks the end of the Church’s liturgical year. Feast of the Exalaltation of the Cross #purifyingword #catholic #faith This is a reflection for the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year C. On this Sunday, we celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Hence, the responsorial psalm of this Sunday reminds us never to forget the deeds of the Lord. We will not forget. (John 10:27-30).Having laid down his life for us, Jesus calls us his flock to continue his mission: to gather rather than scatter, to seek the lost, and heal the wounded.On this Sunday, the Church also prays for vocations to the ordained priesthood, through which God continues to send shepherds after his own heart (Jeremiah 3:15). May those called to the ordained priesthood find the courage to respond generously.To imitate Christ the Good Shepherd, all baptised Christians are called to love and serve God and their neighbours beyond convenience.
