El Buen Pastor

Jesus expounds on who He is as the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd calls His people; although in the Old Testament He called His people through intermediaries, He now calls us to Him and leads us directly through the Holy Spirit. The Good Shepherd loves His flock with an unmerited, uniquely directed, and irrevocable love which caused Him to lay His life for us. The Good Shepherd is expanding His flock, and desires for all men to be saved.
