Un grupo de psicólogos y biólogos de la Universidad de Rochester decidieron comprobar esa hipótesis. Enseñaron a 231 estudiantes en los Estados Unidos la ciencia básica que sustenta la tecnología de la modificación genética, evitando cualquier controversia que enjuiciara creencias o convicciones preexistentes.
