Lo más común es aprender español en una academia de idiomas, o a través de libros de texto, o con cursos de la Universidad... y generalmente, en esas academias, y en esos cursos se enseña un español muy correcto. Eso es fantástico, a mi me encanta.  Pero es cierto que hay "otro" español, el que se habla en la calle. Con expresiones, muletillas, palabras....que no vas a encontrar en los libros de texto. De hecho, esas expresiones y palabras pueden cambiar dependiendo del país o incluso de la zona.
