Al morir, algunas estrellas explotaron en supernovas, formando elementos aún más pesados como el oro o el uranio. Otros se forjaron en colisiones de estrellas de neutrones, eventos extremos que también enriquecen el cosmos. Hoy, incluso somos capaces de crear elementos artificiales en laboratorios.
