Narciso Yepes, extraordinario concertista de guitarra española, falleció un 3 de mayo en Murcia hace 25 años. Con seis años, Yepes empezó a estudiar clases de solfeo y a familiarizarse con el dominio de su instrumento preferido, la guitarra. En 1964, Yepes creó su guitarra de diez cuerdas, invento para conseguir mayor resonancia, sobre todo a la hora de tocar música barroca. Transcribió múltiples composiciones y es considerado en todo el mundo como un referente para los estudiantes de guitarra. Este músico es posiblemente el solista que más veces interpretó el "Concierto de Aranjuez" del maestro Rodrigo y cuando lo grabó en 1954 fue el disco clásico más vendido hasta entonces con esa versión. Ya considerado un instrumentista de prestigio, fue requerido por el director de cine francés René Clement para que se encargara de la banda sonora de su película Juegos prohibidos, interpretando el llamado "Romance anónimo". Esta pieza cuyo origen se lo atribuye más de un compositor pero que finalmente termino siendo del maestro Yepes la escribió a los 6 años de edad.
