Elan [l998 10 3]

Update 2026-06-26: This remains one of my favourites amongst my own work; not just because I really enjoy the song, but also the memories of adventure attached to it. I named it "Elan" after the Elan Valley in mid-Wales, about 7 or 8 weeks after I finished the first draft, inspired by the scenery there during a road trip with my friends. It's been a staple of my road-trip soundtrack ever since. The MP3 has been updated with better mixing and mastering. Original: Sometimes just messing around will yield some awesome results. This is the 6th attempt I made with some percussion and a bassline that I created, coming together over the last few days. We can blame the Serum VST for how this sounds, and I am very happy with how it's turned out.
