Elephant in the Room – would you feed it?

from Creation Science - awesome reasons for life you won't find in schools

If you knew there was an elephant in the room, would you feed it? I’m sure you’ve heard that expression…right? When there’s an obvious problem, but no one is talking about it or seems to want to talk about it, that’s the metaphorical way of putting it…there’s an elephant in the room. But what if that problem was a lie everybody was willing to spread and perpetuate? Would you be willing to feed that elephant? Well, that’s exactly what’s going on in the scientific (and I use that term loosely) community. When was the last time you saw, or read about, a book writing itself? Or have you ever heard of a website with tons of pages simply popping into existence? Where have you ever witnessed a baby being born without the key ingredients from the mother and father? The answers, of course, to these questions are never, no, and nowhere. Know why? Because they’re all information based, and information never creates itself. Complex information is the elephant in the room. I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth repeating. The genetic information contained in each of the trillions of cells in your body is roughly equivalent to about 4000 books. Wrap your mind around that for a minute. 4000 books of information in each of your cells. All that complex information…and it’s in trillions of cells. If you believe all that could simply create itself, you have a lot more faith in dirt, goo, and chance than I do. Scientists KNOW their experiments always point to intelligence…even the atheistic and evolutionary scientists. So, why do they insist on perpetuating the myth of evolution and chance? Would you believe money plays a huge part? I know…gasp! Yeah, the vast majority of “research” scientists are funded by grants from the government, large donors, and other sources. They’re always on the lookout for this funding because their lifestyle and prestige depend on it. Don’t take my word for it, though. You should go read this article “Follow The Money” on CreationScience.com. It’s eye-opening to see how intolerant the so-called “open-minded” scientific community is about where evidence leads. Evidence is like an elephant. Elephants are enormous. And when a herd of them starts running, there’s almost no stopping them. They’ll trample anything in the way, too. That’s how evidence for creation is, too. It’s enormous. And if you’ll go where it leads, it’ll trample all the fairy tales and myths like life coming from non-life. Or mutations making something better. Evidence is flowing through your veins right now. It’s so vast and amazing, we can barely comprehend it. The fact that you and I were created is written in every cell of your body…and mine…and everybody else’s. So, instead of chasing money for research from a government, organizations, or individuals who hate God, scientists should be intellectually honest and simply go where the evidence leads. And when it leads to a living God who created them and loves them, they should rejoice because that leads to eternal life. What an awesome transformation would occur if they’d replace the elephant in the room with Jesus. What do you think? Am I being a simpleton? Too naive? Or is it something worth continuing to fight for? The Living End How can I explain the numbers in the rain? I’d like to help illuminate the pathways to your mind. But I am just a man; I’ll do the best I can I’ll show you where to look, and I’ll tell you this: It isn’t behind It’s a firecracker and a windchime. It’s a loudspeaker and a street mime. And it’s the friction of invisible wind…It’s the living end. I should write a book; give back what I took. It’s the kind of thing that multiplies When you give it away. The knowledge and the lack; The rails that make the track Tend to open doors and open hearts To what they can say. It’s a sand pebble and the fired glass. It’s a skyscraper and a mountain pass. And it’s the friction of invisible wind…It’s the living end. Oh, and I’m sure I can’t make you believe, If it’s not within your will. Oh, and it’s been around since Adam and Eve And it never stood still. How can I extol the matters of the soul? I was never one to shake my fist and preach in the square. No, I just always knew that faith would lead me through, And there has to be a larger life that lasts forever out there.
