Gas giants prove how Earth got its groove
Gas giants (not the political ones) What do Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune have in common? Besides being cool to look at through telescopes and space probe pictures, they’re all known as gas giants. (yeah, like most politicians) And that means they’re considered low density and made up mostly of hydrogen and helium. It’s good to know what they’re made of because that helps us know how Earth got its groove. Some scientists like to say planets are attracted to one another. (If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?) They call it “mutual gravitational attraction”. And they say planets actually formed because of their mutual attraction. But that ain’t how it happened. (gasp!) Gas giants spin and their gases stay in. Scientists, who are looking for answers instead of forcing results into their worldview, have done experiments on colliding particles and gases. And guess what? They found how those particles almost always break up instead of forming into something bigger. But Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are mostly hydrogen and helium. So how did they form if mutual gravitational attraction doesn’t add up? How do those gases keep their beautiful forms instead of falling apart as they spin through the solar system? Well, they didn’t evolve. That’s for sure. Of course, you’ve got to be willing to look at the evidence and go where it takes you instead of having a foregone destination conclusion…like evolution, or even creationism. But, when you look closely at the gas giants in our solar system, you can see design. They make sense. And they’re spinning through our solar system, and through the galaxy without falling apart. (more than I can say for those gas bags in Congress, but I digress) How is that possible? Experiments show how gases dissipate quickly in the vacuum of outer space. Especially hydrogen and helium. And wait a minute! Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are mostly hydrogen and helium! What?! It’s all just so contradictory. Unless you open your eyes to the possibility of design. Look at the beautiful designs of those gas giants sitting farther out in our solar system. Then, consider how those works of art might have had an artist. Design suggests, implies, and points to a designer. Simple, logical deduction. But it’s not so simple if you don’t wanna go where that leads. To your Creator God. He didn’t force any mutual gravitational attraction on you. So, you don’t have to believe in Him or trust Him or get to know Him. But He’s optimistic and hopes you will. I hope so, too. Before you become dust and gases and discover it’s too late. Before you dissipate into an eternity of despair over what could have been. Since you’re reading this, it’s not too late. God’s grace can still be yours for the keeping. And He’ll hold all your particles together forever. Watered down truth is so uncouth
Watered down truth I’m gonna share the watered down truth with you…but in a good way. “There’s a good way to share watered down truth?” you ask. Yes. And stick with me ’cause it’s purty interstin’. (misspelled on purpose to give it character) If you’re an adult (or at least resemble one in physical size and stature) you probably already know there’s a lot of water on our planet. In fact, Earth is about 70% covered in water. That’s almost three-fourths! And that means only about one fourth of the planet is made of something you can walk around on. Unless you’re Jesus. So how did our planet get so watered down? Evolution says our planet was formed from a swirling cloud of dust and gas. But if that’s the case, then almost no water should be found “within 5 astronomical units (AU) from the Sun. (1 AU is the average Earth-Sun distance.)” as Dr. Walt Brown described it. That’s because the sun would have been able to vaporize and and solar winds would send it to the four corners of the universe. (my completely unique description) And yet, the fact that we have so much water on our little, blue planet is undeniable. But where did so much water come from? Referring to Dr. Walt Brown again…he presents the most viable explanation you’re going to find. He calls it the “hydroplate theory”. Here’s a great video to help explain it (it’s long, so make some popcorn and enjoy). Don’t drink the watered down science koolaid. And don’t take my word for it. Or even the word of scientists. Test the evidence. See where it leads. Let it take you to truth. And my guess is, that’ll take you to THE Truth. In the case of the hydroplate theory, it’s the watered down Truth. Am I uncouth for saying so? Be sure to jump on the one-of-a-kind The TRUTH today, and I’ll send you some free rhymes and reasons right away. Music, a book, and lots of good faith, hope, and love stuff. Be sure to share this with everyone you know. And don’t be surprised if they get mad at you for it. Thinking about thinking – what have you been drinking?
Thinking about thinking Now, there’s a thought for you. Thinking about thinking. That’s what I’ve been doing for the past few minutes because of what I read in a book called “In The Beginning” by Dr. Walt Brown. It’s THE best science book you’ve probably never read. And most so-called “scientists” would never dare to read. Why? Because it presents science with a bias toward truth and where evidence actually leads. Not simply a regurgitation of debunked evolutionary theories. And this morning I read a section, in the book, talking about the “validity of thought”. And as they say these days…mind blown. Thinking about thinking while theories are sinking Consider what Dr. Brown said about thoughts, “If life is the result of natural processes or chance, then so is thought. Your thoughts“”including what you are thinking now””would ultimately be a consequence of a long series of irrational causes. Therefore, your thoughts would have no validity, including the thought that life is a result of chance or natural processes.” So what do you think about your thoughts now? Well, I encourage you to read the whole section in Dr. Brown’s book. You’ll see it’s not a mere expressed opinion of his. In fact, it’s so incredibly well thought out and illustrated, I can’t imagine anyone thinking the same way about evolution after reading it. But I’m sure the masses, devoted to hating God and finding any excuse to shove Him out of their lives, will completely dismiss the evidence. As always. Why is this important to think about? While it might seem like it’s just another excuse to use my rhyming style (and it IS), it’s more than that, of course. Thinking about thinking takes you closer to your Creator, if you allow it. Your rational thoughts could never in a million years (or billion or trillion or any other illion) come from irrational processes. But your rational thoughts COULD come from a rational designer. Especially if that designer created you to have a loving and eternal relationship with Him. And He did. If you’re reading or listening to this, and you still haven’t considered the evidence for the one true, living, loving God in the Bible, consider it today. Hit the links. Read the information. See if it gets you thinking about thinking. Living technology should make you say golly gee
Living technology – Yeah, it’s a real thing! For the past week or two, each morning when I’m waking up with my first cups of coffee, I’ve been watching hummingbirds outside the front windows. They’re one of the smallest, yet one of the most amazing, birds around. It’s so cool how they can fly so fast and yet seem to stop on a dime in midair and hover above a blossom. I call it “cool”. But it’s also known as living technology. Whatever it’s called, it’s a blast to watch those tiny birds darting through the air. How dey do dat? So, what’s the big deal about living technology? Thanks for asking. It’s a big deal because it’s all around you. It’s even IN you. And the world’s best designers, research and development teams, and scientists can’t copy it. They spend tons of time and money studying living technology, and the best they can do is come up with clunkier versions of it which need consistent upgrades. Just imagine, for a minute, millions of microscopic motors inside your cells. Guess what? You don’t have to imagine them because they’re very real, and they’re IN you right now. In every cell. And you’ve probably heard about sonar systems in dolphins and whales, right? Or how about FM radar in bats? And, of course, I gotta add the amazing aerodynamic abilities of those beautiful hovering hummingbirds. Those highly advanced technologies (and more) have been around for thousands of years before your favorite smartphone. One more I’d like to add is your body’s ability to repair itself. Where do you think you would be if your body couldn’t do that? Hmm…dead comes to mind. You know what’s really a big deal? So many people, most in fact, can look at or read about living technology and still say it all happened accidentally. Yeah, right. Hummingbirds just got lucky in the evolutionary process and developed abilities to stop in midair in a split second. Sure, that makes sense. Not. C’mon, how many hummingbirds had to crash and burn as their little systems “evolved” a better way to fly? And how would crashing and burning benefit the little guys? Short answer…it wouldn’t. For a more logical answer, you should understand life just like you understand your smartphone. You should know, without even having to think about it, how it didn’t happen by accident. Nothing complicated happens accidentally. Chance only creates chaos. Designers create designs. You and I are designs. God is the designer. Any questions? Moving Like A Hummingbird Smell the freshness of the morning air. Hear the morning bird’s sweet song. Just forget the things you’ve got to do. Throw them all aside and come along. Love is moving like a hummingbird” Never landing in one place. If you’re quick enough, hold on. I know you’ll find a place. Learn all about the strength of gentleness. You’ve always held the power in your heart. Don’t let the negatives deter you now. To let go now would tear your life apart. Love is moving like a hummingbird. Drink of the nectar it provides. If you desire, it will stay awhile. Try now to softly close your eyes”I know” You’ll find the secret place it hides. Love is moving like a hummingbird. Let me ride upon its back. Take me to the place of happiness. I’ll go, and maybe I’ll never come back. © 1979 Tony Funderburk Be sure to jump on the one-of-a-kind The TRUTH today and get my latest words, music, and voice delivered to your inbox instead of having to come looking for them all the time. No i in Team so chance is just a dream
There is no i in TEAM How many times have you heard that said on TV, in movies, or on the sidelines at sporting events? There is no i in team – And have you noticed how many movies are starting to put teams together to solve a problem? Action movie heroes and antiheroes, like Rambo or The Terminator or 007 were the norm for years. But now there seems to be a trend of gathering “heroes” together as a cohesive unit to solve problems. Nothing wrong with either approach. But I’m gonna talk about the team thing for just a bit. If you prefer to listen rather than read, here’s the The Power of God’s Love Podcast episode 226: No i in TEAM and no TEAM without design Way, way back in the fourth quarter of the twentieth century I bought a cassette tape of comedy by Steve Martin. It was called “Let’s Get Small”. Keep in mind I was young and not so concerned with being a “good Christian.” And the comedy on Steve Martin’s tape had some inappropriate language. It was extremely mild compared to most of today’s comedians, but it shouldn’t have been there. Mr. Martin was plenty funny without it. Anyway…the title bit, “Let’s Get Small” was about getting small instead of getting high. His play on words and innuendo were great. And when he went a step further and said, “Let’s get REALLY small”, it just took it all to an even funnier level for me. I listened to the whole tape on a 45 minute drive home, and when I got there, I had to listen to it again to catch the parts I missed while laughing. Why did I share all that with you? Because I wanna get really small and talk about why there’s no i in team when it comes to how your body works. Teams were designed by I…Am. You probably know how important your white blood cells are…right? If you didn’t have them, you wouldn’t survive long. They’re amazing little devices that seek out and destroy harmful bacterium in your body. And they have to be able to tell whether something in your body is a “friend” or the “enemy”. And they’ve got to be working 24 hours a day. Dr. Walt Brown wrote, in his book “In The Beginning”, about white blood cells and their functions. He said, “The equipment for each function requires careful design. Unless all this worked well from the beginning of life, a requirement that rules out evolution, bacteria and other agents of disease would have won, and we would not be here to marvel at these hidden abilities in our bodies.” It makes total sense. The functioning “team” of equipment in each white blood cell had to be there from the beginning. Waiting for all the parts to come together by chance (evolution) or depending on individual parts would have meant no other cells could have survived. And that means no higher life forms would have ever come into existence. The information in your DNA makes you both unique and a complex individual. You can exist, function, live, and love because the loving Creator of Heaven and Earth made you, loves you, and wants you to live forever. So, while it’s true there is no i in TEAM, the great I AM is in every i…you and me. At least if you want Him to be. No pressure. It’s just a matter of eternal life or death. Maybe something to think about as you get your teamwork done this week. Stay tuned, The post No i in Team so chance is just a dream appeared first on Tony Funderburk.

Men and women are different and not by accident
Men and women are different, so you’re not an accident. You might look around and think the world has gone mad when it comes to genders. Or then again, you might think it’s only beginning to make sense. (you’d be wrong, of course) But here’s something you can’t argue against, successfully…at least not if you wanna face facts and not just feelings: Men and women are different. And because they are you have yet another big dose of evidence against life on planet earth magically appearing from non-life. (if you’d like to listen to the rest of this instead of reading…) It’s amazing when you think about how the sexual reproduction systems in men and women are different, but they appear to be so made for each other. Of course, that’s a little bit tongue-in-cheek because they don’t simply appear to be made for each other…they’re perfectly made for each other. But just imagine millions and millions of years ago (and that of course always requires imagination) when the separate reproduction systems were said to have been “evolving”. It takes a whole lotta heaps of imagination to conjure up how two radically different, yet highly compatible, systems could time their evolution so well. Just think about a few compatibility issues: Physical Chemical Emotional Environmental Accidental And not only men and women are different. The reproduction systems in the male and female of all the other species had to have been simultaneously evolving at the same (or similar) rate and speed, too. And then there are the plants. Don’t get me started. You can boil it down to this…timing. If one or the other…male or female…of the reproduction systems had been off only a little, that species would quickly become extinct. The number of miraculous accidents that would have had to happen is mind-boggling. So mind-boggling, in fact, it’s impossible to calculate. Dr. Walt Brown talks about this in more detail. And I recommend you read his book “In The Beginning” to discover lots more amazing and awesome reasons you can know that you know you’re created by the one true, living, loving God of all creation. It’ll build your confidence in the Truth and give you hope for your life…if you don’t already have that hope. If you don’t already have the hope of eternal life, Then my hope is you’ll check into the scientific evidence. Yes, I’m a Christian, and I have an agenda. But it’s not to scam you or lure you into one of those churches where you’d better hold onto your wallet. My agenda is simple…to share the faith, hope, love (and mountains of evidence) I experience, knowing Jesus, with anyone who’s looking for better answers than evolutionary science fiction. Elephant in the Room – would you feed it?
If you knew there was an elephant in the room, would you feed it? I’m sure you’ve heard that expression…right? When there’s an obvious problem, but no one is talking about it or seems to want to talk about it, that’s the metaphorical way of putting it…there’s an elephant in the room. But what if that problem was a lie everybody was willing to spread and perpetuate? Would you be willing to feed that elephant? Well, that’s exactly what’s going on in the scientific (and I use that term loosely) community. When was the last time you saw, or read about, a book writing itself? Or have you ever heard of a website with tons of pages simply popping into existence? Where have you ever witnessed a baby being born without the key ingredients from the mother and father? The answers, of course, to these questions are never, no, and nowhere. Know why? Because they’re all information based, and information never creates itself. Complex information is the elephant in the room. I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth repeating. The genetic information contained in each of the trillions of cells in your body is roughly equivalent to about 4000 books. Wrap your mind around that for a minute. 4000 books of information in each of your cells. All that complex information…and it’s in trillions of cells. If you believe all that could simply create itself, you have a lot more faith in dirt, goo, and chance than I do. Scientists KNOW their experiments always point to intelligence…even the atheistic and evolutionary scientists. So, why do they insist on perpetuating the myth of evolution and chance? Would you believe money plays a huge part? I know…gasp! Yeah, the vast majority of “research” scientists are funded by grants from the government, large donors, and other sources. They’re always on the lookout for this funding because their lifestyle and prestige depend on it. Don’t take my word for it, though. You should go read this article “Follow The Money” on CreationScience.com. It’s eye-opening to see how intolerant the so-called “open-minded” scientific community is about where evidence leads. Evidence is like an elephant. Elephants are enormous. And when a herd of them starts running, there’s almost no stopping them. They’ll trample anything in the way, too. That’s how evidence for creation is, too. It’s enormous. And if you’ll go where it leads, it’ll trample all the fairy tales and myths like life coming from non-life. Or mutations making something better. Evidence is flowing through your veins right now. It’s so vast and amazing, we can barely comprehend it. The fact that you and I were created is written in every cell of your body…and mine…and everybody else’s. So, instead of chasing money for research from a government, organizations, or individuals who hate God, scientists should be intellectually honest and simply go where the evidence leads. And when it leads to a living God who created them and loves them, they should rejoice because that leads to eternal life. What an awesome transformation would occur if they’d replace the elephant in the room with Jesus. What do you think? Am I being a simpleton? Too naive? Or is it something worth continuing to fight for? The Living End How can I explain the numbers in the rain? I’d like to help illuminate the pathways to your mind. But I am just a man; I’ll do the best I can I’ll show you where to look, and I’ll tell you this: It isn’t behind It’s a firecracker and a windchime. It’s a loudspeaker and a street mime. And it’s the friction of invisible wind…It’s the living end. I should write a book; give back what I took. It’s the kind of thing that multiplies When you give it away. The knowledge and the lack; The rails that make the track Tend to open doors and open hearts To what they can say. It’s a sand pebble and the fired glass. It’s a skyscraper and a mountain pass. And it’s the friction of invisible wind…It’s the living end. Oh, and I’m sure I can’t make you believe, If it’s not within your will. Oh, and it’s been around since Adam and Eve And it never stood still. How can I extol the matters of the soul? I was never one to shake my fist and preach in the square. No, I just always knew that faith would lead me through, And there has to be a larger life that lasts forever out there. Caterpillar metamorphosis – God’s Glorious transformation
Caterpillar Metamorphosis – Quite a change! If you’d really like somebody to change…or if certain people are making you mad, tell them to go liquefy themselves. I bet that’s something they’d never expect you to say. The reason I use that term is because that’s what a caterpillar does to become a butterfly. It actually liquefies itself. Can you imagine?! It’s known as caterpillar metamorphosis, and it’s one of the weirdest and most beautiful transformations in all of creation. Imagine if you could take a total jerk, stick him in a specially designed cocoon, liquefy him, and wait a little while for him to solidify, and then let him back out as a totally unselfish nice guy. Wouldn’t that be awesome?! If only changing somebody’s personality was as easy as changing a crawling caterpillar into a flying butterfly. But I’m talking about the real world…so I gotta keep it real. Right? Caterpillar metamorphosis is as real and amazing as creation gets. The fact that this little worm-like creature can create a cocoon around itself and then liquefy itself defies all the silly evolutionary ideas and notions. But when you consider the whole process was pre-programmed by the ultimate designer, it makes sense. I believe God designed things like caterpillar metamorphosis just to show us His amazing creativity. And His attention to intricate details. Like a Monarch butterfly being able to navigate for 3000 miles using only its antennae and tiny, little butterfly brain. Think you could do that well with no GPS, maps app, or climate controlled car? I don’t think I could. It might seem like a small thing to talk about caterpillars and butterflies and how they illuminate God’s glory. But it’s actually in the smallest things where that glory looms largest. Are you convinced yet? If not, send me a message or leave me a comment and tell me why. In the meantime, enjoy the lyrics to this song. Or listen to it in the podcast. Shine In Your Glory My love for You, Lord, Is like a river. Your love is like…the infinite sky. Your grace rains down…in my open heart. You take my hand When the road is narrow, And you’re my Light when things get dark. So, I will shine in Your glory… And I will raise my hands to the sky… Yes, I will shine in Your glory… And I will praise my Savior on high. What Does according to its kind Mean?
Moses wrote the first 5 books in the Bible. Collectively, they’re known as the Pentateuch. I’m not gonna even attempt an exposition of all that right now. I just wanna draw your attention to where Moses got a little redundant. He kept using this phrase, “according to its kind”. I think I know why…at least a couple of reasons why. See if you agree… Here’s a passage from Genesis on the third day of creation: “Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day.” See what I mean? In that short passage Moses wrote “according to its kind” 3 times. Why did he keep repeating himself. Well, one thing it’s good to remember is…he was being inspired, by God, to write what he wrote. After all, Moses wasn’t an eyewitness to the creation of the world. And I believe it’s a not-so-subtle way of God telling us He designed things to work a certain way. Certain “kinds” of things would only produce its own “kind”. In other words, you couldn’t get a lavender plant from an apple seed. And you couldn’t oranges from corn stalks. And here’s the key takeaway… …God’s telling us evolution doesn’t happen. Not macroevolution anyway. He’s saying “I made all these things, and I made them to work the way they work. And the way I designed them is good”. In fact…very good. Another thing this tells me is that God’s design is dependable. We can know that if we plant corn seeds, bean seeds, and tomatoes…we’re gonna be able to get corn, beans, and tomatoes at harvest time. We don’t have to fret and wonder what’s gonna pop up. It’s a small thing, but it’s huge because these simple words, written thousands of years ago, clearly illustrate what we see in nature. The plants, the animals, and we humans still procreate…each according to its kind. Stay tuned… The post What Does according to its kind Mean? appeared first on Tony Funderburk.

Understanding the Inexplicable Universe
So, how do you understand the inexplicable? You can’t. Or can you? Or is there really such a thing as understanding the inexplicable universe? Pondering the mysteries of the universe without the “site map” can lead to brain melt-down. Or total brain freeze. You’ll either find the thoughts blending together into one abstract blur, or they’ll just get stuck; like your tongue on a metal flagpole in January. What are we supposed to do, then? Throw our hands up in despair? Curse the universe? Scream at the moon? Certainly not! If you have to get from Sacramento, California to China, Maine, and you need to get there in one week…and you don’t like to fly or ride buses or walk, are you out of options? Again certainly not! What makes it more real in your mind? I mean; I’ve never been to Sacramento or China, Maine so neither one of them is “real in my mind”. However; I can make them “real” by studying everything I can get my hands on about the towns. And I can get a map to show me the possible routes between the two cities. Then I can look at the U.S. as a whole and begin to see the reality of the trip. It’ll be quite an excursion, but it’s do-able. And it can be done within the time constraints, if I keep my efforts focused on the goal. What’s the key ingredient to the success of this effort? My focus? No. My tenacity? No. My ability to think positive? No. The success depends on the map or the vision or the defined goal. “What do you mean, Tony?” I’m glad you asked. The map, the vision, the defined goal gives me something to focus on…to actively pursue…to think positive about. You see; if you can “see” it, you know you can get there. If you can “see” it, you can focus your efforts in one direction and accomplish your goal. And one other vitally key ingredient to this is…what you see must be true. If the map is a lie, it may be an excellent map, but you won’t get to your destination. You will get somewhere, but anybody can get somewhere. And most times just “ending up” somewhere isn’t a great prize. No, you want to get to a specific place…China, Maine. And you’re starting from a specific place…Sacramento, California. So, if the map isn’t giving you the true facts about your starting point or your ending point, it really doesn’t matter how much of the in between is correct, you probably won’t get there. No…you need the true facts, the true map. How in the world does all this apply to pondering the mysteries of the universe? Well, if the universe is totally inexplicable, it really doesn’t matter what you make of it. It doesn’t matter if you’re right or wrong in your determinations and opinions because yours will be just as good or valid as anyone else’s. After all, you’re just as valid as anyone else. Right? What are we supposed to do or think about “true” or “truth”, then? Is it a matter of determination and opinion, too? If so, then anything you or I determine to be true can be just as valid as what anyone else determines. If I say the source of truth is the vast oneness of the universe or the inner force inside the good hearts of people who love their fellow man, then I’m right. And if you say the source of truth is the cumulative efforts of “wise men” meeting together in a room of ornate wood carvings and stoic books, then you’re right. And even if we totally disagree, we’re both right. Pretty cool, right? We can both be right and no one has to experience the humiliation of being wrong. Whew…thank goodness. Now, let’s all go out for some ice cream and relax. (buzzer sound) Wrong! (gasp among the crowd…hushed voices ask “did he say wrong?”) Yes, wrong. Look. We can all be wrong. Or some can be right and some wrong, but we can’t all be right. And I say the inexplicable universe makes sense because it’s designed by a Creator who is greater than all the ingredients in the universe. You agree with me…right? Stay tuned, P.S.
