Elizabeth Lesser

from The Kathryn Zox Show · host Kathryn Zox

Kathryn interviews Elizabeth Lesser, best-selling author of "Cassandra Speaks: When Women Are the Storytellers, the Human Story Changes." Throughout history, most of humankind's origin stories, hero's tales, novels and films have been told by men. But what if women had been the storytellers too? Lesser empowers women to trust their instincts, speak their truths and reclaim their authentic voices. She's given two popular TED talks and is one of Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul 100. Kathryn also interviews Child and Adolescent Family Therapist Darby Fox LCSW, author of "Rethinking Your Teenager: Shifting from Control and Conflict to Structure and Nurture to Raise Accountable Young Adults." She offers a new model for the parent-child relationship, encouraging parents to let go of control, while at the same time encouraging independence. Fox appears regularly on-air and in print media including Fox News and CBS and has recently collaborated with Meath Media Group to develop a TV series.
