I express how the teachings of my upbringing and specific personality characteristics of sensitivity and empathy somehow turn into a subconscious abandoning of myself. Growing up I was always taught to "put others above myself". I grew up conditioned to believe that being a good person meant putting the needs, wants and emotions of others above myself at all times. Today I know that being overly empathetic, and extending large amounts of grace to people in certain relationships can be a hinderance in our lives. I discuss how my genuine empathetic nature of constantly caring about how others feel about me, led to me not being my authentic self; it led to me not speaking my truth, me not having any boundaries and honestly led to my lack of self love.  How often do we make excuses for the ones we care about? We excuse their emotional immaturity, we excuse their poor communication skills and toxic habits.  When do we learn that not being everything for everyone is okay. When do we learn that our efforts of constantly trying to help others can get in the way of us truly helping ourselves. Too much of anything is never good. In this episode is all things duality. We will analyze toxic empathy in relationships, healthy boundaries, how to build  more self love and how to honor our true selves so that we can effectively honor others.Support the showIf you would like to get in touch with me or simply share your manifestation miracles, I can be reached at the below: Email: [email protected]: DM @herauthentic__selfpodcast Threads: DM @herauthentic__selfpodcast Lastly if this episode resonated with you please subscribe, follow, leave a rating, comment and share with friends!
