Bijna 9 van de 10 aangiftes van gewelds- en zedendelicten in Engeland en Wales blijven onopgelost, zo blijkt uit een analyse door de Britse krant The Guardian. Jess Phillips, de verantwoordelijke staatssecretaris, bestempelt de onopgeloste misbruikzaken in Engeland zelfs als een nationale crisis. Zo ver van God, zo dicht bij de Verenigde Staten." Deze wijsheid wordt in Mexico vaker van stal gehaald, maar zelden was hij zo actueel als nu. Want als er één land de gevolgen gaat ondervinden van het nationalistische beleid van Trump dan is het wel buurland Mexico. De aangekondigde tariefmuren gaan de Mexicaanse economie hard treffen en het land kan – als Trumps plannen doorgaan – rekenen op een grote hoeveelheid uitgezette migranten.
