Los desafíos de Siguiente Fase abordan diversas fases de la historia del videojuego como las primeras máquinas recreativas españolas, Shigeru Miyamoto y Donkey Kong, los ilustradores que transformaban juegos en objetos de deseo a través de sus carátulas, la magia de los hermanos Stamper y su Knight Lore, los secretos más intrincados de la Edad de Oro del software español, los primeros pasos de LucasArts en el género de las aventuras gráficas, el modo 7 de Super Nintendo, el nacimiento del videojuego shareware o la inquietante pantalla partida de Pac-Man. Siguiente Fase pone a prueba los conocimientos del lector en materia de videojuegos a través de once preguntas en las que nada es lo que parece.
