Como directora de Proyectos Especiales del Programa Nacional de Animación Cultural tuvo como misión hacer de la cultura una herramienta para la recuperación de espacios públicos en zonas del país donde el impacto de la violencia y la marginación habían destruido el tejido social. Desde el 2019, se encuentra al frente del Festival Internacional Cervantino, ha trabajado para mantener la oferta de alta calidad artística y mantenerlo como punto de encuentro diverso, incluyente y plataforma para la vanguardia. “Hoy en día gracias a la tecnología la cultura puede llegar a más sectores, tiene que ver en cómo abres el abanico de posibilidades para todos los públicos y tener claro que la cultura tiene el poder de transmitir un mensaje de paz, en sí, es una herramienta poderosísima.” -Mariana Aymerich
